We all know the basics. Cloud was an attempt to become a Sephiroth clone, Zack broke him out and ran, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Bunny time. I blame a doujin page.

What if Zack wakes up one day, and finds Cloud awake. Awake and a little...non-Cloud like. He's up, he's moving, and he's almost Cloud, but there are things that remind him of Seph.

And the reason that he sees those things is because Sephiroth decided to just go ahead and move into Cloud's head. Kid is a little young, but he is alive, free of Hojo's control, and with Zack. Three good reasons to take over.

So you have Cloud who's awake, kinda, and when he fades out, Sephiroth takes over fully, trying to act as Cloud-like as he can, so not to make Zack suspicious. He plans on slowly taking over fully, as he's got to get used to having a body again, and at the same time getting Zack used to the "new" Cloud.

Strange little bunny.

X3;; Eeep. Sounds a bit like Jenova-tainted Sephiroth, there. I mean, yeah, Seph before Jenova wasn't a pussy-cat or anything, but, wouldnt Seph want Zack to know it was him? Oh, he'd probably scout out Zack's feelings towards him(Sephiroth) while masquerading as Cloud, but unless Zack had a serious hate-on for Seph(which I'd doubt).... Also, Seph might have a problem with treating Cloud little better than Hojo and the others treated him - as a tool, a thing, instead of a person. yes/no?

But why would he let Zack know that it wasn't Cloud so much in the body? After all knowing Zack, he'll try to make Sephiroth leave it. Or at least make him give full control back to Cloud. It's -Cloud's- body, after all.

And, well, Sephiroth kinda likes the idea of having a little mental pet, who he could do whatever he wanted to, and nobody could stop him....

The.. mm, vibes? that I get from Sephiroth says that he's very, very confident and definite about who he is. He may not quite click with the rest of humanity, but he's very much himself.

Because of that, it seems to me that Seph could not accept Zack liking him because Zack thinks he's someone else. He'd want his Zack back - not who Zack is when he's around Cloud, because dollars to doughnuts Zack interacts with Cloud differently than he interacted with Sephiroth. Not better or worse, but different. Like I said, Seph might scout the lay of the land first, but in the end I don't think Seph's psyche could tolerate the deception.

Plus, if he's thinking clearly and not completely folded/spindled/mutilated by Jenova, he probably knows that stealing someone else's life isn't something Zack would approve of if he found out, and Zack would find out. Sephiroth is neither a coward(afraid, yeah, run away from confrontation, never in a million years) nor a monster(he can't be if Zack likes him). He'd tell Zack.

Though I can see him manipulating things so that he gets his own body back before he tells Zack anything. Which would still be interesting. And I should really stop talking about this bunny before it decides I need to write it. *shoves it into a hutch and tries to ignore it*

Well, it's different, but Bound kind of has a similar premise in Seph and Cloud being stuck in the same body. Never seen one where Cloud didn't change though. And not where Zack was around. SO DOOO IT~!
