We have a statement, finally.

All I can say is "No fucking shit" to the screwing up part.
And I find myself disappointed with how vague most of their answers are.

That said, OMFGYES at it being over(well, hopefully. Mostly. At least making progress in a good direction). I've never stayed up this late @_@

Still don't trust them. And will probably still move my business elsewhere.

Still wanting to move my stuff.
Me, untrusting? Why ever would I feel that way?

I'm am still so very pissed about this. They persecuted innocent people because of outside pressure when people have been asking them to do something about real threats for ages without success.

I'm a bit boggled at the people who went "Okay, you said something, all better now."

And yet, despite it being used as a prime example of fucked-up-ery,
And I hear ya about the easily appeased. If it had been their journals suspended, they wouldn't be nearly so accommodating.
And can we really trust someone with grammar that bad? That's a direct quote from the news journal!

It appears they know how to move there asses to save it, though. It's back up now.

Well we really screwed this one up…
O RLY?
I'm just commenting to voice my amusement at the semi-wank over the "FIRST" comment. Ah, Fandom, plus ça change...

I just don't like how they only seemed to say something just to cover their asses. It makes me twitch. A lot.
And, yeah, worst parlay ever.

Their apology seems to boil down to "We made a minor oopsie and you caught us, so we'll try to fix it and please don't be mad at us."
My impression of the whole fiasco?
Gross incompetence and laziness on LJ's part
I'm sure LJ's competitors appreciate it, though. ::blatant sarcasm::

I get the impression as well.
*still setting up other journals* I've got too many things I like that might be the subject to the next witch hunt.

i'm leaving
July 4th to make some REAL statments and fixes. I hope some people join me, becuase just taking this only leads to the next fiasco.

Re: i'm leaving
I'm checking out LJbook.com to see if I can't back up my LJ, and I am taking my money to other coms.
Insane journal is fairly nice, and cheaper than LJ.
*goes to check out the comm*

That and what
P.S. Are you pulling out of LJ entirly, or are you switching this to a side journal?

And by the way, been meaning to ask this for a while, is it alright if I friend you?

But, yeah, they admit it, but it still seems extremely half assed.

It's my first livejournal witch hunt, so I still have faith in the system. Give me some time- it'll be crushed and devastated by reality in a few years.

I got copies of all my serious non rp journals over at GJ. Always have just because I'm an icon whore and love having 2000.
I don't know anything about insanejournal so *shrugs*
