I sense, if people just follow you into the RK fict because you wrote it, a great number of new RK fans will be born. Because honestly: Kenshin and Cloud are similar sorts of people on the same end of the spectrum, if not entirely the same shade. So to speak. Yeah. If anything, Kenshin is loveable and squishable and oro-ing, and the rest of the Kenshingumi is just as easy to like. I also used to be the biggest Aoshi fanfict stalker evar.

Kenshin is all woobie at times. Though I -love- Battousai. Mmm, amber eyes.

I bought the movies just so I could have more of Hitokiri Battousai. *will have to check the spelling on that later*

You ever read Vathara's stuff on FF.net? She has -awesome- crossovers, including really, really good RK ones.

And Chris! Who knows how things are! And the new!D, who has that short hair and just needs ruffled!

Yes. I agree: there is basically sometimes when you have to purr, cause Kenshin gets all Battousai-ed out. Though, I did have a tendency to feel bad for Kenshin, as most of the characters treated him Battousaing (XD - I just don't know what else to call it) out as a split personality. I always sort of felt like that wasn't exactly right, that the Battousai aspects were just as much of his personality as his goofiness, and that Kenshin felt that in order to put people at ease about him (ESPECIALLY after finding out about his past), he needed to act the spaz.

As for your spelling - you're right. It's also sometimes written like "Hitokiri Battōsai," but even the English manga puts in the "u." It's basically just to emphasize the long "o" in the middle.

*Ponders* I don't believe I have, though I'm certainly going to have to go and check Vathara out now, don't I? :)

And to end the world's longest comment: Chris!!! I personally wanted to fluffle him at the end of the manga. He's so like Leon, but would duck his head and blush and be all earnest if on the receiving end of ruffled hair. And new D! I love how we don't REALLY know if it's REALLY new D (the time frame would be right - about 20 years past by the end of the manga) or if it's old D... with a haircut. XD They're all coy and love blonde anyway. Even D's dad, even if he was like, "Well basically... humans sux00r."

...D would give Cid a run for his money with his love of tea.

I'm just saying.

*grins* Kenshin is an interesting character to write, and I'm always scared I'm going to mess him up if I do.

I was happy when I saw that you had claimed one of the prompts I submitted. All I'll say is that it isn't Saiyuki (I'll bet you were thinking that XD ). Though the fact that you have Saiyuki prompts does make me squee. Firefly too. Eee!
