Living
He didn’t understand people at times. He really didn’t.
Zack just didn’t get how some people could be so laid back and withdraw that they never got anything done. Life was just passing them by, and they seemed quite content to simply let it go.
He wasn’t like that. Hell, Cloud wasn’t like that, and if anyone had a reason to let time just flow by him, it was Cloud. The man had plenty of it. But he didn’t get how normal, everyday humans and demons just let things go past them like they would simply be able to rewind time and collect it again.
There was only one way to live in Zack’s book. Hard, fast, and like every day was the last. Because who knew when death would come and tell you it was time to go home instead of her saying she just wanted another dance around the floor.
Dancing with death was better than suffocating in life.
Cloud said once he was suicidal. They both knew that he wasn’t, but he did dance along a very, very thin line at times.
He only got one life. He was going to live it without have to have any regrets.
