Quiet

The hardest part of all of this was actually learning how to live like a person again.

Zack was almost twitchy at the sheer -quiet- of the place. No sounds of traffic, no sounds of people moving around. Nobody having sex in the alley, nobody coughing or sniffling or crying.

He felt extremely alone and lost. The lack of sound of people and traffic made him feel almost alone.

The first night wasn’t bad. Hell, the first week wasn’t too bad. But then it started to make him restless. That and the fact that he and Cloud was the only people in the apartment. It was…disconcerting.

Cloud found him after a few days of staying up all night. The older man sat on the couch next to Zack, who was feeling sheepish. “Can’t sleep?”

A small nod.

“Well, all the cheesy movies are on now. How about we make some snacky food and mock bad movies?”

Zack grinned, feeling almost shyly. It was a rough road, learning to live like a normal person again, but he thought it would be worth it.

For some reason, that struck me as a very cute tradition to start between the two. XD Of course, cheesy movies and snacky food are always awesome.

I can see, down the road, the other three wandering by and occasionally into the madness, but it still be a primarily Zack and Cloud bonding thing. Cause, yeah, they are cute like that.
