“If you’ll lay back for me.”
Lucrecia suppressed a shiver as she did as she was instructed, Hojo moving around her with a slight smile. Not that she could blame him. They were working on their attempt at the Jenova Project, one where he had the chance to truly impress Professor Gast. Lucrecia knew what it was like, trying to impress someone who was a superior.
But, honestly, most of her mind wasn’t on that. It was on her husband, whose long fingers were tracing along the various instruments that he had been using on her, to check her health and how she was reacting to the treatments. She was just a few months along, and they had started the mako and Jenova treatments that would be required to make the child she carried a proper specimen for the project. While Hollander’s projects were already born and developing well, Gast had found some issues that might cause instabilities later. Which was when Hojo had stepped in and referenced his alternative plan, earning Gast’s permission to try it.
Wearing only her gown, feeling the crinkle of the paper, Lucrecia smiled as Hojo drew close again. The basics of heart rate, temperature had been dealt with. This part was always odd. She knew how well those hands could feel, when they were touching her in a -very- different aspect of their lives. Right now, though, the hands were almost cold, impersonal. They were the hands of a doctor who was examining a patient, examining the future specimen of a Jenova changed child. Their child. Still, she shivered, because even now, with that impersonal touch, the small gleam of light off Hojo’s glasses as he studied her and her reactions. The lab coat was white, though there was a green tinge over everything as the mako tubes in the lab gave off their own glow. The very scent of the lab reminded her of the man she shared her bed with, because both of them spent so much time here that she could still smell the chemicals on his skin when they made love.
The feel of latex sliding up her thighs made her almost start, and she sucked in a sharp breath. He’d put on gloves while she was distracted, and continued his exam.
Lucrecia knew that he saw how he was affecting her, the smile on his thin lips growing faintly. But he didn’t stop his exam, and she could feel warmth pooling in her stomach, and not from any recent shot. He knew her reactions, and he knew how to play off of them.
Another caress of her thighs, and then he moved, helping to settle her feet into stirrups, touch professional again. Shifting under those dark blue eyes, Lucrecia tried to calm down, but something about the fact that she was the center of his attention like this just made her want more. She relaxed as best she could under his touch as he started on the next part of the exam, making sure there were no aftereffects from the injections.
“He will be the perfect specimen,” Hojo’s voice was quiet, almost awe-struck. “Our son will be someone the world will see and worship.” It was the same tone of voice he used when he spoke of Jenova, and Lucrecia shivered, though she wasn’t sure why. Not that it mattered. Jenova didn’t live, and her husband was focused on their child. Their -son-. As he continued to examine her, she listened to him speak, and wanted him more than ever. He was brilliant, and Lucrecia had always been drawn to intelligent men. Men who knew what they were doing, who could do what they wanted by using their mind.
This place was proof of that. Hojo had gotten here because he was dedicated enough, bright enough to catch the eye of Gast.
His fingers pressed into her, unexpected in a way. She had been distracted again, thinking of him, while he continued on his exam. Focusing on him, she saw that Hojo was watching her, his eyes meeting hers easily.
“You seem distracted.” Calm, cool voice, and his fingers continued to move, testing, probing. Even as much contact as that way, it was almost impersonal. She shifted, feeling the paper of the gown slide over suddenly sensitive skin, and shuddered again. “Is something wrong?”
”No, Professor.” He liked her to call him by his title in the lab. Especially now. Which just made her shiver more. It added to the oddly distant feel between them, almost as if they were only patient and doctor. It was a false feeling, but that was what made her enjoy it so much.
Hojo continued through the exam, seeming to ignore her reactions to his touch. But he was the doctor here, and that means he was in charge of what happened. Making soft noises in the back of her throat, Lucrecia did her best to not move.
Then his touch changed, just a little, going from examining to touching, his thumb brushing over her, drawing out a groan. Looking at him, she tried to meet his eyes, but all she could see was the reflected green glow of mako off his glasses. Too far to reach, and she squirmed under the movements of his hand. “You’re too tense for me to continue my exam effectively,” he said as if it was the most reasonable thing in the world. “Do try to relax.”
He was the doctor, and she couldn’t disobey his orders here anymore than she could ignore an interesting data spike when she was in charge of a test. He knew what he was doing, and she felt his fingers slide over hot skin, pressing against the places that she liked for him to touch.
“Come now, Doctor, I need to continue the exam so we can see how the specimen is proceeding.”
She shuddered under the words, fingers pressing against the metal of the table she was on. Most of it had warmed under her skin, but her fingers pressed against a cold place, feeling the metal under her hands, and her feet pressed against the stirrups, body exposed to him. He was everything at the moment, all of her world focused on her doctor, and she came under his touch and his focused, intent gaze.
Going a bit limp, panting, Lucrecia could almost feel the scent of the lab imprint inside her throat, on her skin. The smell of alcohol as he cleaned her, his expression back to the one it had been, smirk gone.
“We will continue now.” Hojo’s words were firmed, and Lucrecia could only nod, feeling good and just a little lethargic.
They had many more of these exams to go through in the upcoming months.

And thank you for the congrats. I had a lot of ideas rather quickly. So that helped a lot.

I smell heat from this fic clearly. Love the the first line that express Hojo's professional attitude and Lucrecia's hesitate but do as she should.

These two have an interesting dynamic in my head, though it does make me wonder just what happened when they separated from each other. Though I try not to, because it just encourages me to write the FFVII game and what happened to get to that point from Hojo's POV.

I like how you actually portrayed them as loving each other instead of him being horrible. I hate it when people do that. You can kinda tell I ship them together.
I have the same square on my card and this is the pairing that first came to my mind for that too. If I go for a blackout I might end up having to change it or be creative myself.

I think Hojo did feel some sort of affection for her at some time. As much as he's capable of. I think his love of Jenova just proved to be stronger in the end.

Though I do like odd sets. Like the bingo I'm working on now has a Zack/Rufus pair. *is working on a blackout a row at a time*

I like your idea of working toward a black-out like that. Do you mind if I borrow the idea?

I like Ifalna. Course, my Ifalna is old, and kept at least partially drugged in the labs to keep her from killing people.
I might have to join FF Exchange. Genesis/Sephiroth is an interesting pair, though mine just seem to want to stab each other in not fun-time ways.

I only just started playing Crisis Core this January and haven't finished it yet though, but I think I ended up with my first yaoi pairing in that fandom because of that game. :P I never really was inspired by any of them before. Anyways, they were the first ones I could think of when I looked at leather.
