*rubs forehead* I did Zoofic. Bad zoofic. But it's Greedbased, so I'm happy.
The crowd shifted restlessly, many of them clutching camcorder's and cameras. They looked around with wide eyes, hoping to be the first to catch their prey.
Their guides, who were trying to make sure nobody strayed from the marked boundaries, paused as they received news over their ear pieces.
John, the lead guide for this tour, clapped his hands.
“All right, everyone. Quiet down! We just got the report of a sighting. Looks like you guys are in for a special treat today. Not only are you going to see a mated pair of Elrics, it looks like a Greed pack is traveling with them.”
The noise level increased, and it took a moment to quiet them back down. It was a good thing, John decided, that they were warned fifteen minutes in advance about the pack. If the crowd got too noisy, the Greed would just make sure that his Elrics were kept away. John wasn’t sure how, but it seemed like every Elric pair that came through knew this was a safe library, and they could read, in not in peace, at least in no fear of capture.
“Quiet down, now! Or else you’ll drive them away.”
Well, that worked.
“I just have a few brief words. I know you all signed up for the Elric tour, and you lucked out in that we’re in a good season for travel, so they are pretty common. This is a special treat, the Greed pack. Give me a minute, and I’ll give you a bit of history.” He sighed internally, and continued on in a monotone lecture voice.
“Greeds, as you should know, after they emerge from their dormant period, collect together a pack composed of Chimeras. This batch looks to have about three Chimeras. However, Greeds are also highly fascinated with Elrics, and will try to convince them to join the pack. Usually, this is done by having the Chimeras run away with the Alphonse while Greed battles with the Edward. This isn’t the big duel, usually. Once the Alphose has been taken, the Greed will leave, and see if the Edward is good enough to find his mate. If not, the Alphose is kept. We know that this will sometimes lead to the Armor variation of the Alphonse.
But if the Edward finds the Greed pack, he and Greed will battle again. This time it’s for domination and control. If the Edward wins, he and the Alphonse are allowed to leave. If the Greed wins, the Elric pair will stay with the pack for a period of time.
The Elric migratory patterns does not mesh well with the Greeds tendency to claim a territory, so after a length of time, the Elrics are allowed to leave. But when they return through the Greeds territory, they will usually join back up with the pack.”
A woman’s voice came from the crowd. “But why don’t the Elrics avoid the Greed? Why do they join back up?”
“For the very reason you are about to see. Greeds will take good care of Elrics that are part of their packs. For instance, if in a library, the Greed and his Chimeras will defend the Elrics from anyone who tries to disturb them. That is why we request you be very quiet. Too much noise would drive an Elric away anyway, but in this situation, it might lead to a possible attack from the Greed or the Chimeras. We would prefer that nothing of that nature happened. So, please, take your photos and video, but don’t make too much noise.”
It took a bit of time, but the Greed back finally appeared. First was a Dorochet, a dog-like Chimera. He sniffed the air and looked at the crowd with unease, but after a few minutes, he gave a call. The rest of the pack made their way forward.
In the middle of the pace was the Elrics, the Edward’s brilliant coat catching the eye. Beside him was his Alphonse, and the pair also looked at the people warily, but seemed to be having some sub vocal communication going. Already the cameras were going off.
On one side of the Elrics was a Martel, her moves smooth as she flowed along next to them. On the opposite side was a Law.
Bringing up the rear was the Greed, his neck ruff showing that this was a strong male in the prime of life. He smirked at the crowd, and there were many low sounds of awe. The Greed made a noise at the Elrics, a low “go on, get the damn books” cry, at which point the Elrics entered the library. the Dorochet and Law followed, while the Greed and Martel settled in the door.
The crowd, while deprived of the Elrics for a short time, filled said time taking pictures of the Greed and Martel. John was positive the Greed was posing, fluffing his white neck ruff up even larger than normal.
A short while later, the Elrics and other Chimeras emerge from the library, and the pack quickly formed up again. With one last look at the crowd, the entire group made their way towards the Greed’s current den, a bar about four blocks away. As they vanished, John turned back to the crowd.
“And there you have it. A sighting of not only a mated Elric pair, but the much rarer sight of one traveling with a Greed pack. Remember, only at RedCoats Elric Tours can you get that kind of service. If any of you wish, we will also be having tours that venture to the current den of the Greed pack. Please see me or one of the other guides about reservations.”
As a large chunk of the tour group made their way over, John smiled. Elric spotting tours were such a good business.

Glad you liked it.
I think of the Elric tours like the whale tours you get in reality.
And Greed packs just make sense. And think on how immature Greeds don't have ruffs around their neck, and they go through a period of dormancy(sp?) before full maturity. *grins*
Ima freak.
