Title: New Neighbors
Archive: Interaction Outside the Fivesome, Neighbors subarc
Summary: Ed's thoughts about the neighbors
Warnings: Slight crossover. Mostly for Linn's enjoyment, but I hope everyone likes it as well.

Neighbors were something Ed could live with or without. Some were pretty cool, like Mrs. Tetley. She brought over cookies, invited them to little old lady events(Ed was positive she wasn’t trying to be insulting), and pinched their cheeks when she thought they were being cute. Ed wasn’t too sure if she knew the five of them were in a stable relationship and was just ignoring it, or if she was completely clueless. Whichever it was, she was the most loving person he ever knew. Kinda like Teacher, only without the tendency to fling him and Al into objects.

Jonas Whittle was the complete opposite. Ed was just waiting for the others to stop paying attention so that he could go do some damage to the man’s property. Anyone who was as arrogant and bigoted as Whittle deserved it, and he had only made the black mark next to his name darker by hurting both his daughter and Al like he had. Ed had no respect for the man, and the favor was returned in full by Whittle. Thankfully, after a small incident involving Ed and Whittle, the other man was far too much a coward to every do anything too aggressive against them. Mostly the two households had a silent agreement to never darken each others days.

As for the family on the other side of them.... Well, Ed could only thing that he had never seen a family borrow so much sugar. No wonder those two girls were always giggling.

Those were all neighbors he knew. It looked like the house that backed theirs had finally sold, though. And to very interesting looking people.

All three were men. And Ed knew just what to look for to see that they were together in the same way he and his lovers were together. The tall guys with the long silvery hair was as stolid as a stone, but the black haired man more than made up for that, displaying a sense of humor that Ed already liked. And the blond, while not as straight faced as the taller, long haired man, still was a bit more serious than the black haired guy. He blushed easily, though. Something else Ed had already seen. He had caught the names of Spike, Zack, and something that sounded like Sephie-poo. Right after that had been the sound of something going boom, but he could ignore that. After all, look how many explosions happened in his home.

In a day or two, he might go next do and see how their new neighbors were settling in. It was the polite thing to do, not to mention he was bored.

And now the question is: was the boom the sound of Sephiroth exploding, or him throwing something at Zack? Either way, funny as hell, which would be Zack's point.
