You know what I want to do?

I want to do a true MSTing of a fic. Just get a group of friends together, either on chat or on LJ at the same time, and make fun of a fic. I'm even willing to sacrifice my fics up to it. I just think it would be fun to have different people involved, instead of one person writing all the comments.

Maybe get the group together, and email the different sections around. Everyone acting and reacting to what other people say. Would be easier to do it in chat, though.

Anyone interested?

HOLY HELL YES! Dude, I'll dig up some of my old stories to sacrifice to the MST gods too! Score! MSTing are teh WIN!

*grins and cheers* Yay! I'm still not sure on how to set it up so we all can see it, but I think it'll be great fun to have different writers working on MSTings. Hell, pretty much anything in my FF.net account is up for grabs, as well as everything I do now.

This could be so much fun.

*looks at FF.net* Oh, I think we'll have a wide range of fandoms to chose from.

This should be fun.

My snark isn't up to par to give an msting a fair chance but I'll help set it up and give any of my fics up for you guys to tear apart.

*grins* Oh, it's amazing how snarking people can get when encouraged by others. But I'll take any fic that won't get us yelled at by people if it gets torn apart.

*hugs* Any ideas on how to set it up?

It first depends on timezones and schedule of people. That and the length of the fic in question.

We had to due a parody of it for Drama on year and half of our group was in another class so we all couldn't get together. What we did was seperate the group into segments, with one person being a constant/glue of the project. We then split the work we were doing into equal parts/chapters and each group did a certain section.

Granted that's long and convulted and not as much fun unless one can improv on the fly to add their own parts in comments or something.

The only MSTing I've done online was in a message board setting and that was hard to do as well. Maybe if you plan the schedule out you can do it in a chatroom setting on aim or something. If you do that I'll be the feeder for the story if you want so everyone else can just worry about the snarking.

Hmm. Maybe just email it around and let people react to one anothers statements.

That can work as well if one person doesn't mind having to more or less instigate the comments if they are first.
