A bizzaro WWC ficlet. Let me know if I should actually post it.
Whatever she had been expecting, it hadn’t been this.
Rubbing the back of her head, Katrina sat up. The ground shifted strangely under her, and it took the woman a moment to realize that she was sitting on sand. Itchy sand.
Katrina blinked rapidly. She paused to rub her eyes, then blinked some more when the scene didn’t change.
“You have got to be kidding me,” she mumbled to herself.
Three sets of identical eyes and one tricolor set were focused on her. Four different Eds were looking at her, and one was easy for Katrina to identify as her muse!Ed. The other three were just as easy to figure out. One had a pair off large golden wings, another was female, and the last had tricolor eyes.
The Ed that was a muse was the most ‘normal’ looking of the bunch, and he was glaring at Katrina. “I don’t know what happened, but I blame you for this,” he told her.
Katrina returned his glare with one of her own. “Stop sounding like Linn,” she muttered. Then she did a double take.
“Crimson, crackfic, muse, and wings….” Katrina froze for a moment. “Fuck.”
The Eds looked at her as if she had lost her mind. Then Ed with the tricolor eyes smirked, and Katrina and her muse Ed both shifted. That was an Envy smile. “Excuse us,” she squeaked, and dragged Muse!Ed a little bit away.
“This,” she growled, clutching at his jacket, “cannot be happening! I’mamarysue!”
Ed blinked. “What was that last part?” he asked.
“I. Am. A. Mary-Sue.” Katrina spat out a word at a time.
A pause. “Do you have any magic powers,” Ed asked.
“What?”
Shrugging her hands off his jacket, Ed explained. “Well, if you are a Mary-Sue, you’ll have magical abilities. And, if you haven’t noticed, we’re in the middle of the desert. You.” He pointed at Katrina, and the woman was insulted to realize that he was talking to her as if she was stupid. “Can use your abilities to get us somewhere where we won’t die.”
Katrina thought about that. “But even in the meta fics I write, the only power I have is when I’m writing something.”
Ed rolled his eyes, and Katrina decided that if they got out of this, she was going to write bad things about him. “We’re surrounded by sand, and you have a hand. I bet you can write in the sand.”
Looking at the other three Eds, who were now talking very cautiously to one another, the author decided that anything was worth a try.
“Fine,” she muttered. Then she called out to the other. “Okay, if we’re all done deciding that none of us are Envy, I have an idea.”
The multicolored eye Ed and the female Ed both looked at her with wary expressions. But they were also nodding acceptance and moving closer. Katrina wondered if it was because she had created these particular variations. The winged Ed looked a bit more dubious, but he also looked more uncomfortable as sand got into his feathers.
“What’s this idea,” asked the tricolored Ed. Katrina ignored him as she knelt in the sand. Thankful, there was little breeze to disturb the letters as she carefully wrote.
Katrina and the four Eds found themselves outside the home that the fivesome lived in.
Around them, the world blurred, and Katrina realized that she was a damn Mary-Sue. She fell to her knees as she noticed that she felt very, very dizzy. The world stabilized and she had time to see a plain, two story home, then she blacked out.

*giggle fest* Yes, you should post this. I have a section for Meta/breaking the fourth wall just for this sort of thing.
And yes, it is all your fault.
