Wow. House of Smex is a month old today. I think we started off with something like ten fics, and I'm pretty sure that we broke the one hundred and forty mark. We've been a busy bunch of crack heads.

If you don't know what HoS is(if not, why are you reading my journal?) it's a fivesome. That's right. Fivesome. As in five people sharing a bed. The lovers are Roy, Riza, Al, Ed, and Masuta. The first four are from a anime called Fullmetal Alchemist, and the last is from a fan creation called Alter!Series. A!S has it's own comm, which is found at alter_series, and has massive spoilers for the last episode of FMA. HoS is an AU based off of A!S, but has managed to gain itself a rather scary following of hyperactive crackbunny followers. We are scary, and we are productive. HoS has it's own comm, which is found at houseofsmex. If you take a look at our archive, forgive me, it's a bit messy at the moment. We are working hard at updating it, but haven't got it done quiet yet.

So far, HoS has developed two AUs of its own, plus several arcs and various fics that span all sorts of ideas. If it has the fivesome in it, it's a HoS fic. *grins* We've been discussed on the FMADub chat, according to what I've been told, and have been declared a fandom in it's own right. These facts thrill me to no end.

I think it was Roy who first called it so. Then a few other people said the same. Somehow, I'm not sure how, I have random people who are reading it agree that it's a fandom. I think that it has something to do with the fact that anything that is a fivesome fic is a HoS story. Getting rid of "official" canon seems to have helped as well.

Trust me, it surprised me as well the first time it got called that. *is now nervous about what people think about HoS, as it's starting to grow even bigger*

::grins:: you worry too much. Think of it this way, i got Sloth to actually wanna write for HoS, therefor the fandom must at least be good. ::hugs:: Oh yeah, ask her to show you her icon sometime.
