Random blurb time.

What if Faramir had gone to Rivendell instead of Boromir? It's implied in the books that he was the one who had the dream originally, and was the one intended to go, until Boromir took over. And he does resist the temptation of the Ring later on.

Ummmm. . .Eowyn would have married Boromir instead? Denethor wouldn't have gone fruity because his beloved son wouldn't be dead and he would have omg!warrior grandchildren? David Wenham would have a bigger movie career than what he has now?

Ooh. Let me know if you find it. I'm tempted, but I have neither the time, nor the capability to do such a massive rewrite. I don't think the Fellowship would have split like it did, and that would have led to some interesting complications.

Of course, I'm the person debating having a RP where Sauron regains the Ring, and gets hobbits to play with as a bonus.

Will do, but I make no guarantees I'll find it. I tend to go far and wide when I'm really deep in a fandom, and I'm pretty sure that's what I was in deep in LotR when I saw it.
