Two more Alter!Series Drabbles. Spoilers for 51. Got to send the link to

First one is for the first half of the series.

Hates

Ed hates this world. Even if he hadn’t had the past experience here of having something large and on fire fall on him, the place seems to have been wrung dry. Partly it was because of the war, but everything seems so dingy to him. Used up.

Like the life had been drained from it.

Ed hates that thought.

And the next one if for the second half.

Brighter

It does not take him long to realize that this world is brighter.

It is not just that there are fewer machines, and it makes the air clearer. To Masuta, it seems as if this world is more alive. More vibrant. As if everything that existed in his world was taken and washed clean, and recreated here.

It is no wonder Mr. Elric had desired to come home so badly.

Man, two drabbles, and only about twelve lines all together. *shakes head*

*grins* Well, it's true. Wouldn't you be likely to not like a place where a burning airship fell on you?

I love the contrast in these. Just very cool. I don't think there is a single word that is out of place or unnecessary. Wow.
