Ooh, once again, Katrina takes another step towards being a fandom whore. This is only part of a story, and it might actually grow up. It's time for my FMA/Harry Potter crossover. Check it out, it might not be as bad as you think. For one, it's not focusing on the Philosopher's Stone. It has another point of connection all together.

Warning, spoilers for episode 51.

The more he roamed this world, the more Ed realized that he desperately wanted to go home. Stupid technology was everywhere, and it always seemed far more dangerous than it needed to be when it was first used.

Take the recent World War, for instance. Some of the things that had been used during that where truly horrid.

Not that everything was bad in this world. He remembered a young man who had taken to following him for a bit during the war. Walter was his name. It had been a while since Ed had found anyone who was willing to put up with his own slightly-off view of the world. That his companion had been hunting the supernatural helped out greatly. They had spent time with each other, and it had been nice to not be alone. It had also been rather sad to see him go back to his organization.

Now, as if the feel of the world after the war was over wasn’t enough, Ed now had his world tilted again. This time it was courtesy of an older man, who had a long beard, and half-moon glasses. If that wasn’t odd enough, he wore robes and currently had a stick pointed at Ed.

Something about him seemed very, very familiar. Not his features, but just the way he…. The best word Ed could come up with was felt. The man felt familiar.

“Well,” said the new man, whose eyes were full of amusement. “Somehow, I don’t think that our normal memory spell will work on you, will they, young man?”

It had been a long time since someone had called Ed a young man.

For a few moments, they only stared at each other, and then the man smiled and lowered his stick. “I am Albus Dumbledore. I have the feeling you do not come from this world.”

“You know about other worlds,” Ed asked, his voice skeptical. Too many false leads had made him cautions. Mustang would be proud, if he was still alive.

Ed felt a sudden longing for a home he had not seen in far too many years.

“If I might have your name, I would ask you to come with me. I feel we have a great deal to talk about.”

Ed felt the familiar feeling again. It tugged at him, and it screamed ‘home.’ Finally, he introduced himself. “I’m Edward Elric.” He eyed the man again. “And what are you dressed as?”

The twinkle in Dumbledore’s eyes grew even more prominent, and Ed was reminded of Armstrong and his sparkles.

“Why, my boy, I’m a wizard.”

See, told you it was doom!

*drags self in* Too many bad crossovers make me very fearful when I see HP beside FMA. ^^;;

Well, well, is this the beggining of some sort of worthy crossover? XD;

I even got some Hellsing in there, too. Saw the picture of young Walter, and figured they were all about the same time period.

Well, if I figure right, Ed would be in his mid-forties at the end of WWII. And we know that Dumbledore was there. The only thing I don't like is that Ed has spent so much time away from home.

*thinks* I might be able to fix it, and it would still have some interesint concepts.

*grins* Besides, you don't think I would put some tired, overdone piece of drivel up, do you?

*laughs* I enjoy taking old ideas and finding new ways to do them. Usually insane ways, but they are new. *grins*

You've heard my theory on why Hohenheim's rotting as fast as Dante even though, in theory, he should still have some Philosopher's Stone left. I might be insane, but at least it makes me inventive. *realizes she now has a quote*

From: [identity profile] kalikamaxwell.livejournal.com

No, I don't think I heard that theory. And are they rotting at the same speed? Dante just got a new body and it's all rotty already. Hohenhiem had the same body for at least 20 years I believe (same as he was when he met Trisha) and he's still more or less OK.

From: [identity profile] icedark-elf.livejournal.com

There is that point, but I always thought that she had just a fragment of the stone, and he had the rest. And he has been rotting for a while. I always assumed that he had changed more recently than she did. I had the feeling that if he changed again, his new form wouldn't be doing well either.

My personal theory is that a rotting body isn't capable of producing sperm fertile enough to create a child. I'm sure that Hohenheim and Trisha wanted children, and the Stone responded to that. And then you had Ed. And then, with the last bit of the stone, you have Al.

It's a personal pet theory, and has no relation with reality. But it explains, in my mind, how Ed and Al are as strong alchemy-wise as they are. Even given who their father is, I got the impression that most children aren't able to do that kind of stuff.

From: [identity profile] icedark-elf.livejournal.com

Gah, let me rephrase that first part. We don't know how long Dante was in the old woman form, but it was most likely longer than Hohenheim was in that form. *shrugs* Maybe, maybe no. Like I said, has no relation with reality.

From: [identity profile] kalikamaxwell.livejournal.com

My theory is that his body was still new back then, and working fine long enough for them to have kiddies. It started to rot after a few years, Hohenheim went eep and ran off to try to fix it.

Though I like the idea of the stone affecting them. If Hohenhiem was in a new body, he might have been still infused with the stone's power. Stone empowered sperm! XD;;

Your story is a hundred times better than mine is! *sniffles*
More? Pretty please?

From: [identity profile] icedark-elf.livejournal.com

This is just a blurb that was in my head. I don't know if it's going anywhere.

And I doubt anything I write is a hundred times better than anything. Well, maybe the Mary-Sues, the poorly written ones.

Where's your story? *goes to check out your LJ in hopes of seeing this story*

I realized I hadn't included a link as I was going to bed, felt like a huge idiot.
Its up at fanfiction.net, http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2153465/1/
Yours is much better, but mine was mostly written in response to all those Harry Potter meets Edward Elric stories on ff.net, which wouldn't happen for decades considering the calenders and stuff like that. I'm more used to writing original stuff then fanfiction and my characterizing isn't the best.
I love your stories! They are same of the best!
