This is the second drabble request of
ninkasa. She asked for a Fruits Basket, with Hatori/Ayame/Shigure, with the line "I wanted you to come in." After drooling on the request (what is it about FB that inspires threesomes for me) and coming up with numerous ideas (most of which beat up on Shigure, my favorite character) I came up with this one. The biggest problem I have is that I keep wanted to spell Hatori as Hitori. Have no idea where I got it from. I think I caught all the name mistakes, but if I didn't, tell me and I'll fix it.
This drabbles a little long, being 534 words long, but that's okay. The drabble
ninkasa got in trade for this one was over as well. Love the Harry/Draco kissing thing. Yay!
Anyway, here's the drabble.
“You shouldn’t be out here.”
At the sound of that calm voice, Shigure looked up. “I wanted to move around. You’ve had me stuck in that bed for so long that I thought I’d forget how to walk.”
Hatori almost-glared at his friend. “You’re over-exaggerating. It’s snowing. You’ve been sick. Sick enough that you had to come here instead of staying at your house. You should not be out here.”
With a sigh, Shigure leaned against the back of the bench, watching the snow slowly settle on the main house of the Sohma compound. “I’ve been stuck in the house too long. You know I hate being forced to stay inside. Even with Tohru-kun visiting, and Aaya basically moving in, I feel trapped.”
There was something very melancholy about Shigure’s expression, and it tugged at Hatori’s heart. For all that he got frustrated with his two friends antics, the dragon cared for them. They had always covered each others backs, even to the point of taking punishment together.
Shaking his head, Hatori frowned as the other man shivered. “I wanted you to come in,” Hatori muttered as he sat down. Shigure didn’t hesitate, curling up against the warm body. “But I know you’re a stubborn fool, so I won’t waste my time.” He casually draped his arm across Shigure’s shoulders, a slight smile crossing his face when Shigure rewarded the nicety by brushing a soft kiss on Hatori’s neck.
“Isnt’s this nice. I come all the way from the shop to visit Gure-san, and I find him cuddling Tori-san.”
Hatori suppress the instinct to jerk away from Shigure when Ayame’s voice broke the silence. Turning his head to the side, Hatori saw Ayame standing there, long silver hair blending with his heavy white coat. There was a look of distress on the pale man’s face, but it was easy enough for his friends to see the spark of humor in his eyes.
“Haa-san is being kind enough to keep me warm,” Shigure chuckled, with as much innuendo as possible dripping from his raspy voice. Ayame frowned slightly.
“Whatever are you doing out in this ungodly weather anyway, Gure-san? If it hadn’t been for Tohru-kun and the others, you might have…. “Ayame trailed off, a look of discomfort on his face. The snake shivered, then moved forward, dropping a kiss on Shigure’s forehead. “Hmm, you don’t feel as warm as this morning, but still….”
Pulling off his coat, Ayame sat on the other side of Shigure and draped the heavy material over all three of them. Snuggling up against the sick man, Ayame smiled. “There, now all three of us should stay warm.”
He was right about that. The coat was still warm from Ayame’s body, and Shigure smiled as the scent of his friend flooded his senses. His smile grew as, under the cover of the coat, Hatori and Ayame both took his hands.
With someone he cared deeply for on each side, and Hatori still supporting him with one arm over his shoulders, Shigure felt himself grow drowsy. He, as Aaya and Haa-san had said, was still sick. But, Shigure thought as he slid into sleep, he was quite happy.
Quite happy indeed.
I'm beginning to really love drabbles. As I've said before, though, the hardest part is keeping them under the 500 word limit. Hope you liked this, and I'm sure I'll be reworking this into a longer story.
*sighs, then grins* I'm such an Evil Fan.

Love the fandom, and am very said that, like Saiyuki, it has a Mary-Sue infestation problem.
Your drabble is next.

And some of the things they do to the characters. It's almost as bad as the Homura bastardization in Saiyuki. *pouts* Love the fandom. I almost dread what will happen to the Full Metal Alchemist when it comes out. How much do you want to bet that the place with be crawling with girls who have the Philosopher's Stone.
