Shin Ra ID and Crisis Core commentary

Got Crisis Core today. Think I scared the poor guy running the Game Stop. Also got a discount off the players guide, so I'll be scanning the pretty, pretty artwork in that later. Haven't done more than flip through it to see the shiny pictures.

Like it so far, though I wish I could figure out how to get the Japanese voices on it. The English ones don't sound right.

Haven't gotten far. Have met Yuffie, and Sephiroth. Gotten to just past when Angeal vanished. Scowly, scowly Zack.

For some reason, Zack makes me think of Sora, swizzled around in Riku's arrogance. *is a dork*

I'm sure I'll comment more later.

I played it in Japanese (but haven't beaten it)... mostly cuz I got lost and couldn't figure out where to go... lol I will probably hate the english voices...

I have the JP version, but only got through Chapter 3 because it was slow going trying to figure out all the Japanese names for the Materia -- i.e., Let's cast Fira! Oops, that was Thunder and I just healed the critter. O_o

Yup yup! I noticed that the similarities between Zack and Sora -- friendly, bubbling with puppyish enthusiasm, adorably dorky... and still able to kick major ass!

*kicks feet up on her desk* Yeah, that's a fun game - kiraya is supposed to pick it up so we can do comparisons - though I'll actually be able to do equipment in this one, as opposed to going WHICH OF THESE KANJI MEANS PEARL NECKLACE at her all the time. XD And we might be able to swing it as an educational purchase if she uses it for her Japanese final project.

I don't know which of the kanji means "pearl," but the katakana for "necklace" are easy enough. :P

But I need to find some sort of good official source on the translation process (and at least two sources in Japanese) if I want to do CC for my project, though, so it's still iffy at best.
