Because I'm curious, but lazy, how did Kinkfest signups go? I'm curious, cause I haven't seen very many people comment on it on my flist, and that surprised me. *just got reminded by it due to one of those rare comments*

I only took three prompts, because there was a lot for fandoms I have no exposure to. Not been paying attention to how it went over all.

Seems pretty quiet so far. It's always been quieter than springkink as a general rule, but I'm finding that the represented fandoms have shifted rather a bit (FFVII, for example, has relatively few taken prompts, and most were grabbed by the same person).
I'd like to write something for it, but trying to juggle springkink and school this month is already working poorly and I don't know if I'll be able to do kinkfest as well without feeling the urge to hide in the corner of my room for a day or two. :P I'll still watch what comes out, but I think a lot of the fandoms I enjoy are going to go somewhat under-represented. *shrug*

I was curious. I know that there was lot of people last time, but I also know a lot of people this time chose not to join due to the limits put on. At least a few others were the same as me, not wanting to be punished for what other people did.

Still, I expected a lot more commentary on my flist over it, but there hasn't been much said at all.

It IS sad. Because, aside from the inevitable spastic flailys of 'oh my god this is due tomorrow and I have homework to finish first!', reading such a neat mix of stuff from authors I admire is always so enjoyable. *shrug* And with the fandom shift, I'm not sure how much I will be able to appreciate.

But there's always Springkink! (And today is SNOW DAY so I may actually get some of these things done on time. Yay!) :)

kinkfest is dead quiet (March 15 has only one claim, for example). I have to think it's not just the limits, but that it's running back to back with springkink, since so many people do both.
