My first thought upon hearing the whole Dumbledore is Gay thing: "Wow, that's kinda cool.", then "Whee! Something else for the Fundies to go apeshit about!", and finally, "...Whoopty-freaking-pongles, who gets their panties in a bunch about the sexual orientation of a fictional character?"

The bit that boggles me is the massive number of complaints that JKR should have put it in the book.

I mean, yeah, it's a bit of gip that she waits until the bulk of initial sales for DH are over before she mentions it, but they're marketed for children! She may not have considered making such a point blindingly plain when she wrote it because they're for children!
