Styles
It was always fun to slink around the house at times, especially when people were sparring or working out. Like now.
Settled where he wasn’t immediately apparent, Zack watched as the twins went through their daily practice. They had obviously been at it for a bit, at both brothers had stripped down to their pants, and were more than a little sweaty.
It always fascinated Zack to watch other people practice their fighting, especially when the styles were so different from his own.
Seph had his magic and his blade, and he much preferred practicing alone, running though katas over and over, everything moving smoothly as he did. Zack liked to watch when he could, because Seph just moved so…interestingly. Between the silver blade and Seph’s hair, just a few shades lighter, and the magic he wove into his style, he was just so very, very shiny.
Cloud’s style was what Zack’s own was based off of, which made perfect sense given how he was raised. It was a mish-mash of styles, bits here and there and always more being added. Zack was pretty sure it came from being so old that Cloud either couldn’t remember what went with what, or he just did what he had to in order to survive. That adaptability and willingness to scrounge styles into his own was something Zack did as well, and was part of the reason he liked to watch other people spar.
Chaos and Vincent…. Zack could see they had a style all their own. Some of it had worked into his and Cloud’s ways, but it was a style designed for two, and the fact they were so close it seemed they shared a brain at times was how the twins pulled it off.
Vincent wasn’t big on hand to hand, though he did practice, and Chaos wasn’t big on weapons, but he did know how to shoot. But their strength was that they could and did work together without a word spoken and each had their strength.
It didn’t mesh so well with Zack’s style, so he didn’t use much of it, but he still liked to watch them spar.
Specially when they were sweaty and all over each other. Yum.
