Intertwining
Strangely enough, the oddest result of the four men deciding to share the same bed was at the bar.
Tifa still ran her bar with an iron fist when it came to fights and things of that nature, but, in some ways, she loosened up. She, after a few months, started to flirt back with Rude’s not so subtle attempts and teased Reno’s blatantly obvious ones. The redhead would grin back at her and continue to encourage his partner.
When she was around, Yuffie had developed a habit of carrying around a camera. Considering that at least one usually ended up destroyed, she had gotten good at hiding them in her rather….brief outfit. Cloud still couldn’t understand how she did it, and Rufus said if they could figure it out, they could make millions. Cid and Vincent would just shake their heads and go about their normal lives.
Elena and Tseng were slowly being drawn into the group. Tseng would talk shop with Vincent, while Elena and Cloud started off sharing stories about her sister, who Cloud vaguely recalled. Barret actually joined in as well on some of the various conversations. It was odd hearing about various missions that Avalanche had gone on that the Turks had tried to stop from both sides of that equation. Still, it was something interesting. Reeve would join in sometimes, and everyone would chat about reconstruction and how things were going.
Slowly, those who still were in the city on a regular began to connect on a more common level, competition high as they worked together and rebuild what had been lost. They learned to trust one another, even when they couldn’t before, and the four men were pleased as their groups came together to defend one another from outside threats.
Their people were safer now than ever before. That made things even better.
