Wow. Three entries in one day. I'm smoking. Thought I would throw in this little snippet idea that's been floating around in my head. Then people can tell me if it should be developed into a full story. Still working on my last snippet, but it's a lemon, and those are harder for me to write. Anyway, check this one out.



Choices

Kanzeon looked at Sanzo, a lilac eye watching from behind black curls. "Before we can do anything, I need to ask a few things, Genjo Sanzo."

Sanzo looked at his companions, who were on the ground, still. In the back of his mind, the noisy voice that had always been there was almost gone.

"What do you want to know, hag?"

"What would you be willing to give to save them?"

Sanzo eyed the goddess, unsure if he wanted to know what she was talking about. Then the fading voice made him twitch. "Explain."

"Would you give up the search for your master's sutra?"

"Tired of this trip. Yes."

"Would you give up your own sutra, pass it to one who is more holy than you?"

"Ch. Good riddance. Yes."

"Would you give up their friendship, leave their lives forever?"

"It would be nice an quiet. Yes."

"Would you give up your humanity?"

A pause. Then Sanzo heard the whisper of Goku grow impossibly fainter. Almost gone.

"To save them.... Yes."
