When Collins and Angel joined the others the day after Christmas, they both had a tiny bird on their collar.

“Lovebirds,” Roger had guess.

“Turtledoves,” Angel had answered. At the blank look of the others, she smiled. “On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, two turtledoves and a partridge in a pear tree,” she and Collins sang together.

A pause, then Mimi grinned. “That’s cute.”

From the look on Roger and Mark’s faces, they obviously had a different opinion, but were very careful not to voice it.

“You, my friend,” Mark laughed as he slung his arm around Collins’s shoulder, “are completely in over your head.”

Fingers interlaced with Angel’s, Collins grinned back. “And I’m enjoying every moment of it.”
