Was over at [livejournal.com profile] seanmonster and [livejournal.com profile] qraccoon's last night and managed to damage myself in the simple act of standing up. Think my pants cause on the foot of the chair, and my graceful self went thud. Please, be aware there is a -lot- of sarcasm on the word graceful. Someday, the sarcasm mark will be created by some industrious net person, but trust me, lotta sarcasm on the word graceful.

I managed to land oddly, anglewise to the ground. Caught myself, kinda, on my knee and wrist. Not hand, wrist. I've already got a purplish bruise there. Not big, but still there. Along with a scratch.

Jarred up my knee, which jarred my hip which always aches anyway, and somehow, I think cause of the angle, twisted up the muscles along that side of the back. Not to mention my ankle, which I think finally, -fiiiiiiinally- got over the last time I sprained it, got sprained again.

I so suck.

So if I get snarky at you on AIM or in a message, I apologize now. I can actually hear things grind in my ankle, and my hip is definitely going "Fuck you, bitch. If I could reach you to smack you...."

Yeah, my hip has been watching too much smacktalking films. Need to find how how it's doing that and make it stop.

I don't like aching. I did this about nine thirty or so last night, and knew by eleven that I was going to hurt. A lot.

Why is it always the right side? *is now whining and will stop it*

On plus side, got to borrow Howl's Moving Castle from them. Haven't seen that since it hit the theaters. Will be fun to watch again.

*wince* God, I know how that goes. I managed to somehow trip and dislocate my kneecap at one point. Now *that's* graceful. Though my little brother told me about a very talented boy who managed to sprain his knee by jogging in place after I did that, which made me feel a bit better.

OW -- that sounds horrible! Twisted ankles hurt like a bitch -- best thing you can do for that is keep it up, on ice and wrapped.

Geez, no more rolly chairs for you! Are you feeling any better?

If it's any consolation, the chair you fell from busted out the rear windshield of my car many years ago.

Still a bit achy, but nothing like that night or the day after. Mostly it was just I landed funny so I didn't smack my head against the other chair. Glasses are all important.

Tis an evil, yet highly comfortable, chair.

Congrats on bebe.
