Why am I insane?

I'm part of yaoi_challenge(which is currently holding signups for obscure fandoms round), and het_challenge(which is currently signing up for everyone), and I've have seen yuri_challenge(which I think isn't doing anything at the moment).

I could have sworn I've seen a gen challenge along the same lines. No pairings, just gen fics with the characters, and that kind of thing.

I can't find it anymore.

I reeeeeally want that comm back.

So much so that I'm tempted to created it again.

Think anyone would be interested? I already know I'm insane for thinking about this, but the chance to get some good genfics going makes me highly tempted.

What do you think?

Would you be interested in a gen challenge com? Do you think others would be? Should I just let the idea dragon chew my head off and put me out of my misery? Do you know if there is one already in existence that I'm missing? Let me know. Feel free to poke others here and have them let me know. If there is interest, it would be fun, but, gods, a lot of work.

I kind of fail on the whole writing front, but I'd LOVE to read stuff from a comm like that? Cause... genfic is kind of win.

If you'd take mediocre artists, I'd be there! Not the genfic you're looking for, but I can promise +1 in numbers at least. :)
