*stares a bit*

Ooookay....

This rant makes me stare. It seems as if this woman has decided that a majority of all females are all rabid fanbrats who write slash out of a primordial jealous fit.

*is a bit boggled by that*

Most of my RL friends are male. I've gotten called more boylike than my boyfriends. And most of the people commenting, including myself, are all "Umm...wha?"

She thinks she treats boy like real people cause she was raised boy-like.

So many words that seem to say so much crap....

I was going to read that, but tl;dr doesn't even BEGIN to cover my thoughts on her thoughts on yaoi.

I tossed Shoecat at her.

I also tossed it at the latest CF_H troll, which I found from looking at my JF Flist (which only has F_W, and F_W-related comms on it).

I think she just has deep issues around gender and sexuality that she'd like to project on her fellows, possibly to better understand them and possibly merely to make herself feel better. I don't feel like any of that has to do with me or anyone I know, and I REALLY don't think that your femininity/masculinity has anything to do with being able to see other people as people. I'm bi, femme as they come, and have no issues with this. The things she talks about are the most irritating aspects of fandom for me.

So in short? Whatever hon, have fun with your issues.

...mm. Wrong audience. That sort of thing is only interesting to people who care to delve into the reasoning and motives and how peoples' minds work, including their own. Which probably 99% of people don't care to do, especially when potentially examining their own thought processes.

From a purely analytical perspective, however, it's an interesting piece of work. Now's not particularly the hour to pull off any serious examination or critique, though. But suffice it to say... either read the whole thing and use it as food for thought or points to debate, or just ignore it completely. That's pretty much all there is to it.

I am not coheran enough to say anything except, I like most female charaters! And I can write het, I just like Squall's ass! If Rinoa had a spine (and some sense) I could see her *eventually* getting with emo-boy. But Vincent has the snarkage, and in my book, snarkage is worth more than canon.

Other than that, I'm a femmy little lesbo, so there.
