Strange day today.
12 degrees outside this morning. Hasn't been that cold in a while.
Firefly/Serenity in the news -twice- today. Once for the Firefly MMORPG, which most people are predicting will flop, and then the fuckup that is Flanvention. Firefly con which was canceled, literally, at the last second. As in "Some people are already on the planes flying out" last second cancellation.
Apparently some people, like Adam Balwin, and the Bedlam Bards, are still going to/have shown, but, yeah, massive emergency backup planning was underway. Good luck all you Browncoats.
I'm also very tempted to take the idea behind Tributeverse and make it into an original story. Any suggestions on where/who to talk to about publishing? It's a fantasy/sci-fi thing. Hopefully I'll be able to start work on it soon.
I feel the urge to make a slash/yaoi con again for the Midwest. Why the Midwest? Well, I live here and am too poor to fly to California, and, honestly, it would be fun to make so many people twitch. Though I do know a lot of interest has been expressed for a con that was slashbased in this half of the US. I remember when me and Marina started up Fellowslash, we got about 50. For a first year con that was just for LotR slash, we did pretty good.
Anyone willing to play co-creator for a con out here?
Edit: And now for something completely depressing.
