forgottenlover gave me in a comment. Hope you enjoy.
Angel
She’s his angel. The first person he thinks of every morning, the last one he thinks of every night. Everything he does is for her, in some way. All the blood, the pain, the anger and the fear.
All for her.
Smiling softly, Barret leaned down and kissed Marlene’s forehead and he made sure she was tucked in.
Mural
This is the last touch. Everyone knew that. This would make her, well, her.
Grinning, Cid finished the mural, and the Highwind was born.
Tribute
He was given up as a tribute. Not many had seen one with hair like his, silver as metal. He had never been allowed to cut it, and it was a heavy mass that almost dragged the floor.
He had been taught dance and weapons work, learning how to deal with such hair and how to maximize the beauty of it, rippling as he moved to catch the light.
He had been gifted with another slave. One who’s hair was almost as long as his, whose eyes were the same as fresh blood. They were opposites of one another, black to silver, crimson to green.
They had been taught to move together, the elder teaching the younger how to do so. It was their lot in live, but their appearances and their abilities had helped them a great deal.
Their collars decorated with their names in tiny gem flakes, Vincent and Sephiroth stood before Rufus and Cloud. They were tribute. Gifts to try to bribe the brothers into having the spirits of their city to give Hojo what he requested.
Looking at the blue eyes, one set glowing, the other not, he had to wonder what would happen next. But they were tribute, and what would be would be.
Glimmer
Everything shimmered, the light glittering all around. It reminded him of old children’s stories of fairies and wisp o wills.
They had warned him about it. Said the changes the Mako made to the eyes made it super sensitive to light and all that.
He wish he could copy this so he could show others. The effect was almost magical, and he knew more than one person who would love to be able to see it.
Not really able to go anywhere due do the situation, Zack grinned. As long as he kept his TV on, he would be entertained by the play of light.
Honesty
She loved these flowers. They didn’t look like the others she grew. The were smaller, almost darker green than her normal flowers. The flowers were more of a purple, and the best features were the seeds, set in flattened pods, almost a silver in color.
“Here,” she said, giving a small one in a pot to the SOLDIER who had walked her to the church after buying all her flowers.
He blinked at it. “What is this?”
“They’re called honesty.” A bright grin. “Everyone should have a little bit of honestly in them, shouldn’t they?”
He grinned at her. “I’m Zack.”
She smiled back and took the hand he offered. “I’m Aeris.”
