Cloud knew he should leave. He really should. Sephiroth had just come back from the Mako booster, and his reactions were off the scale. Already Sephiroth had tried to pin Cloud against the wall. For some reason, he was fixated on the blond. If it hadn’t been for Zack, Cloud would have had a very rough time.
Never mind that it kind of appealed to him. That was part of the reason he was staying. The rest was that he could see the pain on Sephiroth’s face.
Mako boosters made the recipients edgy, aggressive, and prone to acts of violence. Those who had gained the tentacles, all SOLDIERs First Class, had it even worse. Sensory reception went sky high, and they were insanely reactive to any outside stimuli.
Zack had gone through the same phase last month, after his booster.
Now, instead of leaving like he should, Cloud found himself in the right place to help catch Sephiroth. The man’s limbs had given out, and only the quick moves from Zack and Cloud had kept him from hitting the floor. A strange noise escaped Sephiroth, and Cloud heard Zack make some type of purring hiss. Another thing changed by the Mako was the vocal cords. Cloud didn’t have a chance in hell of copying that noise.
Whatever the sound was, it seemed to help sooth Sephiroth a bit, as he stopped thrashing. He was still so tense, arms outstretched, teeth gnashing. Zack had his tentacles curled around Sephiroth, trying to both support his friend and to keep him off of Cloud.
He missed at least one.
Cloud stiffened when he felt something curl around his leg. A quick glance down showed that it bore green markings, not violet. Not Zack’s.
Looking up, he found himself starting straight into green eyes. Sephiroth made a noise very similar to what Zack had, and Cloud felt another of the limbs curl around his leg, higher this time.
His sudden stillness finally caught Zack’s attention. Violet eyes flickered from Cloud, down towards his leg, and then back to Sephiroth.
“Seph, let him go. He’s not like us. I’m sure you’ve noticed the lack of limbs.”
“Yeessss,” hissed Sephiroth, eyes still locked with Cloud’s.
“Please, Seph, don’t make me....”
Whatever Zack had been about to say was lost forever as Cloud interrupted him. “It’s okay, Zack. Really, it is.”
That was not what Zack had expected to hear. His head snapped up so fast that Cloud was positive he could hear the dark haired man’s neck pop. Now he was the focus of two sets of glowing eyes. Tearing his focus off of Sephiroth, he looked at Zack. “It’s okay, Zack. He needs this.”
A moment of quiet. “I don’t want you to get hurt, Cloud.”
That made Cloud smile. “That’s what you’re here for,” he said simply, because that was really the most obvious thing in the world.
Sephiroth, having received some permission, flung himself upward, pulling his tentacles loose from Zack’s with ease. Several curled around Cloud, pulling him tight against the older man. Once again, Cloud found himself the target of those burning green eyes. His mouth gaped open to say something, and Sephiroth swooped in to kiss him.
It was a hard, desperate thing, and Cloud moaned into it as Sephiroth slid his hands under Cloud’s shirt. A second set of hands joined Sephiroth’s, and Cloud felt a hard chest pressed against his back. A kiss was brushed over his neck, then Zack spoke, sending shivers down Cloud’s spine.
“Seph, pull back the stingers. I don’t want him sick like that again.”
Cloud was vaguely grateful for Zack’s remembrance of those things, since Sephiroth’s kiss was doing strange things to his brain. He and Zack had found out the hard way that the liquid that came from the stingers was rather toxic to the human system. Not something he wanted to repeat.

you know what i think it is..no matter what context of the story may be, if you put Zack in it it automatically makes it a warm hearted story..if you put Cloud in it it automatically makes it a drama fic and if you throw Sephiroth in it it automatically makes it disturbingly erotic.. When you put them all together and add tentacles you get...this! I personally like it..but i am easily entertained. It was writted well..so i have no beef with that.

Glad you liked it. I try to add some type of explaintions to my fics, so it doesn't come across completely illogical.
Now, is it those characters in general? Because I notice that a lot myself. Though I'm thrilled that you involve tentacles and get this, and it was good enough you enjoyed it.
