KH Cloud is a female in the games. Only, before the Heartless, he was male. When the heartless came, he ended up changed after falling into Darkness. Of course, in this hiccup, the heartless are like insects, thus mostly female, in a way.
And so, when Cloud went from male to female, that male had to go somewhere, thus...Sephiroth.
No, it makes no sense, but it's an amusing little image in my head. Make it go away?
