Rent is awesome. Had to go see it by myself, and was adopted by several groups there. Of course, there were really only about two groups. One was a bunch of acting class people from the local colleges, and the other was a group of church people. I was in awe when the church girl next to me let out a wolfwhistle when Collins and Angel kissed, and another for Joanne and Maureen kissed.
Lovely stuff. I've had the music from the original play forever, and have been listening to it like crazy. If anyone wants a copy of any of the songs, let me know.
I'm so proud of my nephew. Last year, I randomly started calling my brother's older stepson chibisaru, which is from my Saiyuki days. And when he asked, I told him what it meant. So, as I'm leaving the dinner with my family so I can go to work, and he yells "Bye big saru," and then promptly calls his little brother chibisaru. *sniffs* I'm so proud of him. Turns out he's been calling other some of the other kids at school saru as well, and some of them have picked it up as well. Highly amused by that, I am.
