Summary: Sephiroth and Cloud have a talk.
“Why am I doing this?”
“Because you have to, Sir.”
“Strife...why are we at this party?”
“Because we need to get to the lab, and the easiest way, according to you and Zack, was to sneak through this party.”
“Why am I in a -dress-? Why aren’t you? You are the smaller one.”
“Sir, please don’t hiss at me. You are in the dress because I, unlike you, don’t have extra limbs to hide.”
“Why isn’t Zack in the dress?”
“Because you wouldn’t give us the codes to get in, and we need the codes to keep from getting dead. Well, you would be fine. I would be shot a million times.”
“This is a very...full dress.”
“You have lots of tentacles, Sir. One of which is on my legs and should probably be hidden before someone notices it.”
“I feel like an idiot.”
“Don’t worry, Sir. Zack will make sure you never forget this.”
“Strife, remind me to throw you out a window later.”
“I will. Because now it’s only a matter of time before Zack tries to stick me in a dress.”
“In that case, don’t worry. I won’t let anyone else kill you.”
“Sir, that is the most evil thing I’ve ever heard anyone say.”
“If I have to live with Zack mocking me forever for wearing a dress, so do you.”
“I hate you, Sir.”
“Good. Now my vengeance is complete.”

I absolutely adore this exchange. Like, all of it. But especially the:
