One very minor typo, I think:

Elmyra was closer, and they were heading for the farm next to pick up golds to cross the water to Zack's family home.
goods for golds, I'm guessing? Since it's said later that Cid was going to run them over there for free?

Otherwise... Wow. That was wonderfully powerful between Zack and Elmyra. Well done.
